Echo Kids

 

At Echo Church, we want children to know the mercy, love, and justice of God as discovered in His Word. We believe that every child is intrinsically valuable to God, just as they are in the here and now. Our goal is to give kids the freedom and support to learn their value as a child of God in a safe and trusted environment. We strive to provide a safe and accommodating space for every child we serve, and we will work with you to make sure your child’s needs are met when they’re with us.

What to Expect

Classrooms can be accessed at the front of the sanctuary through a door to the left of the stage. Look for the blue Echo Kids banner.

Sound Waves kids join their parents every Sunday for the musical worship portion of service before being dismissed to their class. On fifth Sundays, kids aged 4 and up join their parents for the full service. We do these things so our kids can experience what church looks like for adults and encourage their spiritual growth. For more information on classes, please see the classroom descriptions below.

Please note: all Echo Kids volunteers have completed a mandatory background check before serving.

Tiny Resonators

From first smile to first steps, life begins as a series of rhythms.

The Tiny Resonators class is designed to provide babies and toddlers with an engaging, secure environment to explore. Located just to the right of our Little Wavelengths space, babies and toddlers can also enjoy seeing and hearing older children play right next door.

(Suggested age: Babies–2 years)

Little Wavelengths

Each early learning experience holds within it the potential to ripple out like a wave, positively shaping and forming a child’s spiritual, mental, and physical health for years to come.

The Little Wavelengths class is set up to engage young minds to internalize the truth of God’s love for them and others through sensory experience, dramatic play, music & movement, and storytelling.

(Suggested age: 3 years–Kindergarten)

Sound Waves

As children continue to grow and develop, they learn little by little how to let their unique voices resonate throughout the world around them, and their ideas and their voices make waves.

The Sound Waves class is designed to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where elementary-age students can learn to tune this resonation with the Spirit of God. With a balance of group Bible study, discussion, and hands-on experience, students practice healthy, Christ-filled interactions with peers and teachers.

(Suggested age: 1st–6th grade)

Safety Practices

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

  • First time visiting? Head to the welcome area and fill out a short form with your child’s information and hand that off to your child’s class leader.

  • Check in your children on the sign-up sheet and place a name tag on their back in a visable spot before going to class.

  • Classrooms open at 10:15 AM on Sunday mornings and close at 11:30 AM

  • Tiny Resonators and Little Wavelengths are to be picked up after class.

  • The Sound Waves class exit immediately following their lesson at 11:30 AM and will join you in the sanctuary.

CLEANING/HYGIENE

  • Feeling Sick? We ask that children and volunteers with any cold or flu-like symptoms refrain from attending class.

  • Disinfectant is available at all times for volunteers to use on high-touch areas, supplies, and floors.

  • We ask that there be no food during class at this time.

  • The play mat in our Tiny Resonators space is a "shoes off" zone.
