Today we begin a new book study in Ruth. After spending weeks in the book of Judges, about a spiral of leadership and behavior—we’ll find out that also during this time, Yahweh was quietly at work in this family, creating redemption for their stories that would eventually impact us all.
In this first chapter, we will witness hesed, a form of love and commitment that a person can show another and that God shows to us. But as heartache comes alongside love in our own experiences, we wonder: can I trust that Jesus sees my pain?
