A lot of our study in the book of Acts may feel like a travel journal: there’s a bunch of places where the first century believers traveled; there are also snapshots of events that happened on the way. Perhaps these were experiences that the church didn’t want to forget—times when God’s Spirit moved and they wanted to pass the memories along.

Today we’ll be reading in a little different way than usual: we’ll pause after each story to jot down something in our travel journal that connects with our modern faith journey. I’m going to call these our Spirit Souvenirs.

How was Yahweh’s Spirit moving in the first century, guiding the church? How does the Spirit move in similar ways today?

Scripture study: Acts 19-20
